True chess improvement only happens if you are able to get back to it after getting punched in the mouth. Having a lack of fear of losing and focusing more on improvement. Good of you to be able to bounce back so quickly (and I'm sure writing about it helps you to process).

After this Substack post I checked Lichess and reviewed your last 90/30 game. You and your opponent made excellent use of the clock. The game I speculate lasted between 4 and 4 1/2 hours!

That last game I play I made a very conscious effort to use a process before each move. I’m working on a post about it. But yes, it went lllloooonng

Brutal loss Nick! Playing through it definitely seems to be the way to go in such cases. BTW can I potentially use this game in a Chessable course I am working on? It is very fitting with the themes of the course
